Why A.I. Should Be Regulated

Let's talk about A.I.,
It is not writing this,
Or has it read ev'ry one of my Waths,
And said, 'they'll think it's his"?

No, I am not going to get meta,
I have too much to say,
The question is could it follow my thoughts,
Then tell me what I'll be thinking one day?

Help me find the path most satisfying,
Based on my hopes and fears,
I'd be uploading it my brain right now,
If it could erase tears,
Then find my bliss,
Don't tell the government,
There's only room for one system 'round here,
And, boy, universal wealth isn't it.

PredPol

The technology's there,
The mathematics, too,
Combined with statistics and video,
To pre-imprison you,

Well, maybe not you, but future crim'nals,
Bent on being evil,
Probably confined to those neighbourhoods,
Where you'd 'xpect to find those kinds of people,

Where apartments are cheap and subsidized,
Identified by race,
Makes calculations much easier when,
You keep crime in its place,
It's good business,
So is law enforcement,
First cause a problem then fix the problem,
So legitimizing the government.

When Is It Time?

When's the time for protest?
When injustice is done,
And if the screams and chants fall on deaf ears?
Well, then revolution,

But that can't happen without a leader,
So where will you get one?
It must be someone with nothing to lose,
And no fear of the state's retribution,

Who cares for nothing but injustices,
Affecting anyone,
No matter race, sex, faith or politics,
Else, that is fascism,
Which is the crunch,
It e'er has been and will,
Feeding a group's desire for more money,
After being trounced, repressed, loathed and killed.

Women's March on Washington: Toronto

White's End of Protest,
Says marches just don't work,
A new kind of resistance must be found,
To the tyrant that lurks,

There's value in thinking outside the box,
That's where true vision's found,
Micah says activism can't rely,
On public demonstrations in downtown,

We must move to the fringes of cities,
Slowly work our way in,
'Fore the powers that be know what hit them,
We've got revolution!
I hear his words,
Let's also not dismiss,
The unifying power of the scene,
Of thousands marching against unfairness.

The New Socialism

Until there is no money,
Printed anywhere,
And it is never seen in someone's hand,
But only travels through the air,

From the proof of our identity,
Embedded in our very skin,
As much a part of us as our sense of humor,
Or our manic compulsion,

To have what we want, easily,
Just pick it up and walk away.
Isn't that the freedom we talk about,
When we camp out for days and days?

And it's alright,
We just have to make money part of us,
And it needs to be distributed evenly,
By the new government, socialist.

Modern Revolution

With the way that we are brainwashed,
Are the days of revolution gone?
I don't mean revolutions of the mind,
I mean the violent ones.

For those who turn to violence,
When frustration makes them turn,
Away from the life they've been given,
What will they have learned,

Is the origin of a new world?
When, wouldn't it be grand,
That instead of tearing down what exists,
We all learn to understand,

That to be alright,
It doesn't matter the form of the government,
It's about the universal good intentions,
Of its constituents?

Leaders' Debate

The trick is to respond to questions,
Without a reference to what was asked,
While sticking to the topic at hand,
As you were tasked,

But knowing exactly what you want to say,
Even before you arrive on the scene.
The trick is not to explore a topic,
But to navigate a dream,

That will never touch reality,
For, that is a dream's nature.
There are words and then there are actions,
Again, not related, for sure.

And that's alright,
It's a reflection of society.
Do you say what there is or what you want?
Do you want what you want or what you see?

What You Tried

You've tried working for others,
Who do things just for love,
For hardly any return,
You could monetarily think of,

And then you went to the man,
Who was generous, within his means,
Which did not include spare time,
Or money, when things were lean,

And then there was the government,
Which demanded you close your mind,
Lest you really start to ponder,
What your concience might find.

And now you're alright,
Doing what you love to do,
And you have cash and time and pride,
Which is all-deserving to you.

Bastiat 1848

The premise that people are selfish,
And take from others to relieve themselves,
And so Government will never work,
Reveals a lack of mental health,

And the notion that what people want,
Is less tax for more service,
Belies the experience of northern states,
That the UN rates as top of the list,

And the thought that not by pooling what we have,
We can get anywhere as a human race,
Makes my heart bleed for the inevitable ones,
Who naturally can't keep up the pace,

Needed to be alright,
Regardless of the system in which we live.
There will always be haves and have-nots,
With some to receive and some to give.
