Motivation

One can't be blamed for consistency,
It's the only way to know,
How someone will react to a situation,
Or, at least, which way his mind will go,

Which helps to sort out your own world,
Though there are still infinite factors to address.
You may say you have a friend in arms,
If he does not have to confess,

The 'why's of why he does anything at all.
Wouldn't that be a gas?
Like being two people at once.
Though, you could assume everyone's motivations, I guess.

But it's not alright,
If appearances do not match the truth,
If there's a conscious choice to deceive,
And not an attempt to advise you.

True Wealth

Just go with the flow, you say,
To the thousand millions left to fend,
For themselves while those with most the wealth,
Can't even spare to lend.

When all that money doesn't mean a thing,
Until it is spent,
Except for the potential energy,
And destruction it represents,

And the departure from reality,
For when a dollar no longer has,
Value in the mind of she who holds it,
Those hands that hold it will be the last.

So, it's alright,
If all you have is the love you hold,
Unless you want to buy some food with it,
You have riches untold.

Be Your Self

How much can you change,
Until you're somebody else,
For somebody else until that person,
Is not the person for yourself,

But is in fact the instigator,
Of the creation of the person you are,
Who is not the person you want to be,
Though you would not know that because who you are,

Will not recognize what you used to be,
Because you will be so far gone?
Just remember at every moment in your life,
That there's always time for a revolution.

And it's alright,
If it turns your life upside down,
If you're not who you ought to be anymore.
You know what happens when you reverse a frown:)

Stand Behind Yourself

There is only one way to be,
And that's completely open,
Because the moment you try to hide things,
You stunt the momentum,

Of what it is that you are trying to do,
For others' energy will be misplaced,
And if they wouldn't support you if they knew,
Exactly what was the case,

Then you must search for others equally as open,
That share your morality,
And if they are impossible to find,
You're either evil or not truly looking.

And it's alright,
If you want to go it alone,
If you believe in what you want to do,
Only by not doing it will you need to atone.

Juggling

Things can keep on happening,
In your absence,
As long as you got the ball rolling,
And have the good sense,

To not abandon it with your eyes,
Because it only really wants to be seen,
To be going in the direction you sent it,
Just as you like to know where it is you've been,

To understand who you are,
Because there really isn't any other gauge,
By which to understand the meaning of life,
Just as the ball only knows what tracks it has made.

And it's alright,
If it seems like there're too many balls sometimes,
Thats when you just watch the people watching them for you,
Because people are no different kinds.

It's Not Over

You are ultimately alone,
To choose the path you take,
And remembering that those you see,
Are as unaware of their fates,

And as susceptable to failure,
Due to an unsatisfactory effort,
And an inability to own themselves,
'Cause that's what confidence is for,

And maintaining connections with those who would help them,
And those who would stunt their growth,
And maintaining a smidgen of perspective,
And an iota of hope.

But it's alright,
Or, at least, it may be just yet,
For life can only be lived one day at a time,
And you've still got a few coming, I bet.

Change From Within

There may be different levels,
On which people operate,
Some of which, and probably a minority,
Is mostly double-speak,

And assumptions of collaborations,
Where such collaborations would be evil,
Except that society as it is,
Would not run properly without such people,

Would not run at all for these seem to be the ones,
That make the decisions that affect the most,
Which begs the question, "is it these people or,
Is it just the way things naturally go?"

So, it's alright,
If you want to try your hand,
At changing the way things are done by those in power.
Though, most believe you just can't.

The Moment

Everyday's a new day,
And every moment's just as long,
As every other that seemed an eternity,
And each one that hardly seemed to come along.

And if you're always looking for the next one,
That is so wonderful it goes by so fast,
That you're immediately looking for the next one,
Well, can such a cycle really last?

But what is the alternative, you may ask.
Does one just enjoy the moment?
When one stops to think that they're really all the same,
Then, the one you're in will never end.

And it's alright,
If it all seems a conundrum.
There's really no one that would disagree,
Who has given it some deliberation.

Out of Time

You must take some time out,
Just by yourself,
Without the world to tell you what it needs,
For your mental health,

But it's impossible in this society,
To truly have that,
Which is why insanity is the rule,
And oppression is a fact,

That must be eliminated, at least from,
The construct of Humanity,
And delegated back to Nature,
For simplicity.

And it's alright,
The hangover will go away soon,
From conflicting loyalties to selfish desire,
We'll all be artificially ruined.

A New Morning

Sometimes you just wake up,
As if your life never happened,
It's a new day and all you have to do,
Is what comes up in your noggin.

No responsibilities to anyone,
Until you stop a second and reflect,
That existence is impossible alone,
And you suddenly remember events,

That brought you to where you are, even long ago,
Even completely unrelated,
Like the butterfly on the other side of the world,
Or your thoughts in the last second.

And it's alright,
Sometimes you can just forget.
I think it's called something like meditation,
Used to regenerate and clear your head.

Once you've gotten somewhere,
Where you've done all that you can,
To the extent that you are capable,
It's time to look to other humans,

And have the faith that those making an effort,
Have found themselves thinking the same thing.
Really, what happens is they're always cranked out,
And you just have to catch the next one coming,

And show her that she cannot do it alone,
Because she might not have actually seen,
That there are others like her, and the only way to do more,
Is to look to other human beings.

And it's alright,
If the first one doesn't agree,
We're talking here about a higher consciousness,
Undiscussed for many centuries.

Knowledge

There is always a point,
When you look back at what you've learned,
And are amazed at how little there is,
With very few rocks upturned,

But you forget who you were before the lessons,
And how much it all seemed to you then,
And how the things you don't know now seem could fit,
Inside an infinitely large bin,

Which you are or else you'd never have expanded,
To think that what you know isn't very much.
Embedded in your very being's the tools of knowledge you need,
Without the risk of using all the room up.

And it's alright,
If it seems that you are nearly full.
Just continue to take it all in,
Until you find you're indefatigable.

If You Want

There is nothing more you have to do,
Than continually try,
And continually devise the next step,
With your mind,

And be aware of where you are,
And of where you are going,
And keep an eye out for those who may,
Want to destroy your glory,

For reasons you must understand,
Or you'll never get very far,
And never relax,
If you want a future.

And it's alright,
If you don't,
Or if you can't put in the effort,
To dig that moat.

Did You Do With Abandon?

No matter what you do,
Remember the world is all yours,
Until you die and then it disappears,
Except for others,

And how will they remember what you did,
In relation to the power in your hands?
Will they say, 'She understood no one owns her,
And her life was in her hands.'?

Will they, in retrospect, say you had it right,
That there are no limits to what one can do,
And that you did it in your own way,
Even if it wasn't what you'd planned to do?

And it's alright,
If they chuckle a little bit,
At how your world rubbed up against theirs,
'Cause a life's value's not judged by its conflicts.

Looking Forward

Just because you're not looking forward to something,
Doesn't mean you can't go through it,
With the confidence that it will all work out,
To your benefit,

Or that you are the only one to think so,
Or are the only one responsible,
For the outcome and the consequence,
Or paying for it all.

Close your eyes and put things in perspective,
One day is only a small portion of,
The many that sum up to make your life.
Life itself already burdens you enough.

And it's alright,
If it doesn't all turn out well.
It's more a reflection on life itself,
Than on you're own unique and personal hell.

By One Day

When all one knows you by,
Is the company you keep,
And the intimate knowledge that they have,
Of the place you sleep,

And your daily movements with money,
And the things you do everyday,
How can they possibly know who you are,
Or believe you when you say,

That each day's different and cannot be,
Judged against an ideal life,
Marked by no change even in a structure?
You can't dissect a soul with a knife.

But, it's alright,
Because you know who you are,
And the pain you go through when the expectations fall short,
Of Big Brother.

Mistakes

There are always ups and downs,
Aren't there?
'Cause if there's not, you have a lot of work,
To make life fair,

And to make days short, 'cause that's when you know,
You are having fun.
Yes, when you are actually shortening your life,
That's when you know you've really begun,

To get it right, 'cause that's what you want.
Don't make a mistake or it will cost you,
Your pride and confidence and esteem,
And any self-worth, too.

Wait, it's alright,
To make a mistake, everyone says so.
It's what you do when you realize,
You're going to make more the farther you go.

The Measure of Success

There is really nothing,
That you cannot do,
If the world is at your command,
And you're a good delegator, too,

And you can distinguish one act from another,
Because sometimes it's not that easy,
When trends are such that anything different's a sham,
Especially in fat cat cities.

But know thyself, and be confident in,
The lack of confidence in everyone else.
Ultimately, the truth of your actions,
Is decided by accumulated wealth,

Which is alright,
There needs to be some kind of guage,
And money's just as good as anything else,
Until there is no decent minumum wage.

Questions

Things always get better,
Before they get worse,
And visa versa, if you want to know,
Consciousness' source,

And if you want to know how to avoid,
Negativity at all,
It's not as easy to say bad comes with good,
'Cause, then, what is it all for?

If opposites have to exist so the other,
Can exist, also,
Where is the freedom that makes humans unique,
Or is the freedom that you'll never know?

It's alright,
What's really the point?
Is it that, really, there is no answer,
Or that the question is never going?

Satisfaction

That you have lots of problems,
Just means you have a lot on the go,
And if you took away the troublesome things,
There's still be a lot, you know.

Or maybe not, upon second thought,
Because every risk can be an opportunity,
And if your bent is to see things a certain way,
Then that's how they'll be seen.

Which does not mean a whole lot,
To your physical well-being.
There are many with everything they could want,
But nothing they actually need.

Which is alright,
That's just the way of the human being,
Its ego is such that it can't believe,
Anything could be completely fulfilling.
