It's about- what's that?- the war.
Someone's been killed that brings the end nearer,
Just like it was nearer before.
He's looking very serious,
And says that he's going to get an assessment from his team,
To tell him how things are going there.
He hasn't got one recently.
He's asking for more patience,
As the murder offers hope,
And hopes that God blesses the Iraqis,
He realizes it's not the same God, no?
And it's alright,
I'm sure he knows what he's doing,
He's been doing what he's doing for a while,
And that's good enough for me.
