Waterfall

You are forever changing,
And are never really the same.
Even now you tirelessly reform,
Your sound's constant, but from a different place.

The eyes witness a beauty built on the impermanence,
Of any shape you take at any moment.
I suffuse myself with you and I am reborn,
Just as you have, I've given up all pretence.

I hear your voice in everything around,
Because, like them, your message explains art.
Your consistency belies your ultimate death,
Because you eat yourself until you're at your own start.

And it's alright,
If I can't quite make myself into you,
Your greatest part is forever changing its skin,
The greatest lesson one could hope to get through.
