As they always do,
Or seem to in life, but you must remember,
That it will always seem slow to you.
Until the day when the most amazing thing happens,
That marks a true new direction of your life,
That day will go by so fast that you will miss it.
A slice of life as thin as the edge of a knife.
That is the kicker, so much hard work's required,
For the rewards that everyone dreams of,
Unless what you're doing's so much in your nature,
That the rewards don't exist out of those minutes.
And it's alright,
If you have to do things that you don't want to.
Do you think that every lion would choose to kill,
If she had the chance to tan by the pool?
