Why would it?
It has nothing to do,
With the belligerent,
Way you tore at all that I ever believed,
About the world which I see.
Just one glimpse at that moment reopens the wounds,
As if you just spit your venom at me.
And time can't change who you are,
So why should it hurt any less?
And it can't erase the love I have for you,
And so can't dampen the vividness.
But it's alright,
Love can be spread around,
And people more conducive to me than you,
Can certainly be found.
