To get any farther with someone,
Than you are at the moment,
Even if you've just begun,
Because the act of intimacy,
Is an illusion,
It's just a belief that takes you into yourself,
But you are still only one,
And don't be fooled by the words,
Of the other person,
She is only talking to herself,
Using you to create a conversation.
And it's alright,
This isn't unique to our generation,
It's what poets have said since they first opened their mouths,
If you were to listen.
