Is it that they know what they want,
Even if they lack the confidence,
And try to be a sycophant,
Exerting all of their energy,
Not knowing what they're doing?
Oh, why can't we all just be who we are,
And enjoy just living?
And why must others demand your time,
When, as we know, time is so precious?
When so little's given each one of us,
To discern kindred spirits from tyrants.
Oh, and is it alright,
When you've decided to live your joy,
To then not have the energy?
Oh, how life chooses to annoy.
