Before tapping the keys,
Sounds, once foreign to all of humankind,
Now a ubiquity,
Screens upon screens, periphery and front,
Neck pains and joint damage,
Connections with people like ne'er before,
Demonstrated by attaining a badge,
No longer can one feign being away,
Everyone's always home,
Bricks and mortar are hardly considered,
When staring at one's phone.
Where we've arrived,
Cannot be understood,
Until we can look back decades from now,
For now we'd not lift our eyes if we could.
