To try to change someone?
According to my mom, that never works,
And only causes friction.
Manipulation might just work,
But then the person isn't being someone,
For you more than they're being a tool,
And your heart needs communication.
Not that one doesn't speak to things that they use,
When they do not cooperate.
I guess my point is allowing life to live,
Is more important than not being late.
And it's alright,
If your own life sinks because you refuse,
To treat people other than human,
Instead of things that you simply use.
