When you were young and so naive,
And you assumed that peoples' intentions,
Were not mean,
Because your attempt at conjecture,
Is, frankly, comical.
You couldn't read between the lines even if,
The subtext was written on the wall.
And besides, if you recall,
You never needed to know it in the past,
Simply because you disarm anyone,
When you're oblivious to their nastiness.
And it's alright,
If people think you're a goof,
You will still always get what you want,
Even if you are considered uncouth.
