What You Have to Do

Here's what you have to do,
To live life free of turmoil:
Find a rock deep in the wilderness and push it aside,
Lie where it was, and roll it back over.

And here's what you have to do,
To minimize it:
Assume that no matter what others say about what you do,
They're in total agreement.

And here's what you have to do,
To avoid causing anyone pain:
Recognize that their anger's only a venting,
Humble yourself, and take the blame.

And it's alright,
If you only do one of these,
That's all most people manage to do,
And still end up relatively pleased.
