What you were in the past,
Because it hurts no one if you keep it,
And it will last,
As long as you, and without it,
You may as well start from scratch.
Don't throw the baby out with the bath water,
Even if that water's really bad.
Even if it's filled with blood and destruction,
And things no one should ever see,
Keep those things with all the rest,
And they will be thinned by other things that be.
And it will be alright,
You can take the best of what's there,
And build the life you always wanted,
Should you never have a care.
