No One Should Burn

Two women set afire,
One Russian, one Chinese,
First the editor of Open Russia,
Who struck the match, no pleas,

Her home was searched, with daughter and husband,
Electronics taken,
Accused of no crime, but critical of,
The government of Vladimir Putin,

Plus a Douyin star in rural China,
Was doused in gasoline,
Then lit by her violent ex-husband,
While she was in mid-stream.
What does this mean?
The world's a nasty place,
No one should burn, even by accident,
Never for being of the human race.

Trump's Got It

Does he really have it?
I thought he might fake it,
To 'recover' fast, then say to the world,
'It's harmless, like I said,'

Maybe he has it and is really scared,
But his treatment's the best,
Dedicated doctors and private room,
He'll recover, 'It's harmless, like I said,'

Did he get too close to Joe Tuesday night,
Leaving Pence and Harris?
Do the Proud Boys now surround the White House,
To defend their mistress?
One month away,
This could be good or bad,
Either way I wish the president best,
Could be the best lesson he's ever had.

The Stress

It's got to be stressful,
No, not global warming,
Destroying homes with fires and hurricanes,
With ice shelves deforming,

Not this pandemic that is on the rise,
While people protest masks,
Comforted that mostly elderly die,
Claiming it's no big deal when someone asks,

Forget the president's fascist remarks,
His hate's unparalleled,
If you think he's no worse than th'other guy,
You can go straight to hell.
That's what I mean!
That was stress poking out,
So much chaos with so little control,
Most folks are living amidst fear and doubt.
