Something that in another time and place,
Would be absolutely okay,
Like, 'cut the cheese', or maybe, 'let's have a gay old time',
Or, 'I believe in the right to choose',
Yes, words can hit as hard as a fist,
Or they can help you tie your own noose,
Or raise you up head and shoulders above.
Like nothing else that exists,
The voiced vibrations you send into the world,
Can produce a whole new brand of ists.
So be careful, alright,
When you have your finger on the pulse of the world,
To use your power for honorable things.
You can't walk a straight path talking in circles.
