Sleep on it, beat on it, show it the door,
Let it back in and wait,
Sit across from it, but don't talk to it,
It has to explain first,
How it came to be, what it will become,
How its resolution will quench a thirst,
If you feel you've discovered something new,
A start, middle and end,
A truth's been revealed that can't be denied,
Nor can you abandon,
What it's become,
It was waiting for you,
Now you must guide it out into the world,
Don't you want to see what it grows up to?
