To U.S. supreme court,
When Anthony Kennedy left the bench,
A long gay rights stalwart,
Then Trump took away transgender healthcare,
What more could you expect?
An obvious swing over to the right,
It's bad news for LGBT prospects,
But, lo and behold, Gorsuch stands up,
With right-wing judge Roberts,
So now gay and transgender employees,
Have protection at work.
Are things better?
You bet your ass they are,
There's still a lot to do for many folks,
But less than than hundreds of years past, by far.
