Work

Of all the things to take up,
Ninety percent of your time,
After you factor in the stress that it causes,
I don't want work to be mine.

Everyone knows that one can't live life without it.
Food and shelter don't fall from trees.
Oh wait, food sometimes does and houses are made from wood.
And this was all before money.

Someone is lucky if their job fulfills them.
And most are only kept from the things that they love.
Oh God how I look forward to the weekend,
So I can get my taxes done.

And it's alright,
I'm not really a lazy ass.
I would work a seventy-hour week.
If I had an investment in the task.
