Next Moment

How short is life, really?
You might not finish this,
Or it could haunt you for generations,
Because it will not miss,

If you'ere sure this was your final moment,
What is it you would do?
Of course this can't be anyone's premise,
For we would all stop foraging for food,

We'd stop working 'cause we don't need the cash,
We'd all proclaim our bliss,
Which up until now we denied we know,
For we fear openness,
At least I do,
When the future's open,
Better to spend life saying you could have,
Than defending your shameless ambitions.
