By life's disappointments,
It's mostly suff'ring with moments of joy,
Then there's people's comments,
But what do they say is the best revenge?
Do not give it away,
It only works if it's not your intent,
Else your loved ones will event'ully stray,
For they have their own life they wish to make,
That may not include you,
It is pride they seek when they seek you out,
It's the least you can do,
It's the most, too,
Love's not measured in time,
It's a lake the size 'fyour capacity,
To be there for them when not by their side.
